What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content.
A feed is a regularly updated summary of web content, along with links to full versions of that content.
When you subscribe to a given website's feed by using a feed reader, you'll receive a summary of new content from that website.
Why medical book RSS feeds?

How to subscribe RSS feeds?
You must use a feed reader in order to view and subscribe to website feeds.
Current versions of browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari have built-in RSS feed readers.
Subscribing to feeds are varied - depending on the browser used. In addition, the feeds can be accessed via standalone RSS readers and some e-mail programs.
A few of the most popular web browsers and e-mail programs are listed below:
Web browsers:

Internet Explorer (PC or Mac): Using Internet Explorer 7, if a web page has an RSS feed associated with it, a small grey icon
(between the 'Home' icon and the 'Print' icon) will turn orange
.
Simply click on the orange RSS icon to read the RSS feed. If there are multiple feeds associated with
the page, click the down arrow beside the icon to choose a feed from a list of feeds.
RSS feed requires a third party reader for Internet Explorer 6 and earlier.

Firefox (PC or Mac): If a web page has an RSS feed associated with it, a small orange icon
will appear in the address bar to the right of the page's URL.
When you click the icon, a "Live Bookmark" window will pop up. In this window, you can name this bookmark and
tell Firefox which bookmark folder to save it in. Choose "OK" to save your bookmark. In case of multiple feeds, you would see a pop down list
of the feeds after clicking the icon.

Safari (Mac): If a web page has an RSS feed associated with it, a blue "RSS" icon
appears in the Safari address bar. Clicking on this icon will bring up a window
in which you can name the bookmark and decide what folder to save it in. Choose "OK" to save your bookmark.
E-mail programs:

Outlook (PC): Currently, RSS is not natively supported. Third party solutions (such as NetGator) are available to access RSS feeds in Outlook.
